Honeybee Lodge became a "dream come true" for the Nierenberg family in April of 2005.  We have always loved the Greer area not only for it's beauty but for the great activities available for everyone to enjoy. Our family has many great memories in Greer and we would consider it a privilege to share our dream with you.

Rainbow trout are waiting for you in the nearby Little Colorado River. For hunters, we're smack dab in the middle of Unit 1 for trophy elk as well as a variety of other game animals that include deer, bear, mountain lion, turkey and squirrel.

The White Mountains are a paradise for hiking, biking and photography. Each season will delight you with ever changing scenery. You can walk through wildflower carpeted meadows, hike on well maintained trails in the Apache-Sitgreaves National forest or enjoy the change of colors in the fall. Do you enjoy wildlife or bird watching? Catch a glimpse of elk or deer, wild turkey or perhaps even a bear. Bird watchers — view bald eagles, geese, ducks a variety of hummingbirds. Some trails for wildlife and bird watching are handicapped accessible. Horseback riding, ATV tours, photography safaris, as well as jeep tours are available nearby. In the winter, you're only 8 miles from Sunrise Ski Area for downhill skiing and snow boarding, or you can enjoy cross-country skiing under blue skies on well groomed trails in and around our magnificent Greer Valley.

For day trips, you might explore Petrified Forest and Painted Desert National Parks, Canyon de Chelly or Casa Malpais Archaeological Park. The Village of Greer and neighboring towns offer quaint gift shops, antique stores, retail stores, museums, and restaurants. Perhaps you might try your luck at poker or blackjack when you visit Hon Dah casino.
